About us
Welcome to androgynychurch.com, the online home of a church that embraces the concept of androgyny as a central foundation of our beliefs and practices. Our church was founded with the idea that gender is not a binary construct, but rather a spectrum that encompasses both masculine and feminine qualities. We believe that all individuals, regardless of their gender identity or expression, possess both masculine and feminine energies within them.
Beginnings
Our congregation was founded in the early 2000s by a group of individuals who believed in the power of androgyny and its potential to restore balance and harmony to the world over time. At our request, our religious community was registered by the court in 2024. They recognized that many established religions often uphold outdated dogmas and strict gender roles, creating unnecessary and self-serving divisions among men, women, younger, and older people, leading to permanent inequality, discrimination, egoism, and much suffering. In response, they sought to create a consciousness and community that embraces and celebrates the fluidity and diversity of genders while also pointing out that the source of this diversity is common! Over the years, our congregation has grown and evolved, welcoming people of all genders and identities with open arms to come together and embark on a spiritual journey that respects the Almighty in all its forms. We continue to promote true love, acceptance, and empowerment for all individuals, regardless of gender, race, caste, or age, while embracing and celebrating the beauty and creativity of masculine and feminine energies.
